OCR PDF Tools

A scanned PDF is just a picture of a page — you can't search it, select text in it, or convert it accurately without an extra step. Optical character recognition adds a real, invisible text layer behind the scan.

Run OCR before converting a scanned document to Word, or simply to make an old archive of scans searchable for the first time. Clear, upright scans with good contrast produce the best recognition results.
